THE STRUGGLES OF DAMAGED HAIR:

AMANDA’S HAIRCARE STORY

For most people, maintaining bleached & dyed hair without damaging your locks can be a struggle – and for Amanda, a young research assistant, this is no different.

In fact, Amanda admits that she’s since stopped colouring her hair precisely because of the harm it’s done.

“I used to dye my hair, but then I realized my hair was actually really frizzy and my scalp really sensitive because of psoriasis,” she says. “After dyeing and bleaching, my hair just splits completely. So now I don’t dare do anything with my hair.”

Even so, Amanda’s hair issues don’t have any easy solutions. Though she’s struggled with her hair all her life, her psoriasis makes even common shampoo options extremely limited.

“I never had a very good experience with my hair. There’s always this dryness or puffiness, so it never looks very tame,” she says. “(And) I can’t even really buy any off-the-shelf shampoos, even those professional hair brands.”

THE IMPORTANCE OF FINDING A GOOD SHAMPOO

For Amanda, finding a suitable shampoo is easily make-or-break for her hair. While a good product can be a godsend, a bad one can easily break her hair or flare up her psoriasis; making her hairline red & uncomfortable.

Because of this, she’s very careful with the products she picks.

“The shampoos I usually look for are ones without sulphates and more natural-based,” she says. “If the bottle says Argan Oil, I’ll also want that.”

Thankfully, Moist Diane has exactly what she needs!

THE PERFECT SOLUTION!

Despite struggling with frizzy hair all her life, Amanda was pleased to discover her hair had become much more manageable.

“It feels like my hair is less out-of-control,” she says. “When you have psoriasis, there’s (also) always the concern of flakiness. I like (Moist Diane) because it doesn’t give me that itch.”

With that said, Moist Diane may very well smoothen Amanda’s journey towards taming her hair.
