When it comes to her hair, Kaye likes it best when it’s nice, soft, and straight. Unfortunately, her naturally frizzy hair makes this difficult to achieve.
“Since I was young, my hair has always been very, very dry. It’s like I kena bomb,” she says laughingly. “It’s (also) naturally wavy, not very straight. So I have to straighten my hair quite often.”
But that’s not where Kaye’s difficulties end. On top of this natural dryness, Kaye admits her hair is also quite damaged – a consequence she blames on her repeated use of box dyes.
“I used to only use box dye since I wanted to colour my hair,” she explains. “(But) ever since I started, it just got worse. I’ve stopped dyeing my hair because it’s so damaged now.”
For Kaye, having visibly dry hair is one of her biggest insecurities. And while she’s since taken steps to remedy it, her efforts don’t always pay off as much as she hopes.
“I cut my hair at the end of last year to let it grow out again. I (also) stopped (dyeing my hair) this year and just started taking care of it,” she explains. “It’s gotten better, but it’s still bad.”
Even so, certain solutions – such as salon-treatments and -branded shampoos – are often too expensive, driving Kaye to settle for more affordable alternatives and drugstore brands.
…and then she started trying Moist Diane!
“It’s smoother, not as wavy as it usually is,” she describes. “I also really like the smell.”
True to it’s name, Moist Diane could be exactly what Kaye is looking for softer, smoother hair!
